HOW TO APPLY
Admission Is Now Open
The American University of Kurdistan (AUK) is now accepting applications for its bachelor’s degree programs. Prospective students are encouraged to begin the application process early and prepare all required documents before visiting the Admissions and Registration Department.
Step 1: Prepare Your Application
National Students
National students should visit the Admissions and Registration Department at AUK to receive the official application form. The form must then be taken to the applicant’s school and to the relevant Directorate General of Education for completion, signature, and official stamp. Once completed, the form should be returned to AUK.
Students From International Schools and Institutes
Students from international schools and institutes should bring an official high school transcript or a verification letter confirming their grades and final result.
Step 2: Submit the Required Documents
When returning the application form, applicants should bring the following documents:
- Personal photo with a white background
- National ID
- Passport copy
- Information Card/Zanyari, for national students only
- Residence Card, if applicable

Step 3: Select Your Program
Applicants should complete the program information section and select the bachelor’s degree program they wish to study at AUK.
Step 4: Pay the Required Fees
Applicants are required to pay the applicable admission-related fees when they visit AUK to submit their application.
- These may include:
- Application fee: $50
- Admission deposit: $250
- ID Card: $15
- IT Fees: $60 (Per Semester)
Accepted payment methods: In person only.
Step 5: Application Review and Next Steps
After the application and required documents are submitted, AUK will review the applicant’s eligibility. Based on the evaluation, eligible applicants will be contacted regarding the next steps in the admission process.
If the application is successful, the applicant will receive an Admission Offer.

AUK offers scholarship opportunities for eligible students. Applicants interested in scholarships are encouraged to review the scholarship requirements and application process.

Important Notes
- Submission of an application does not guarantee admission.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Applicants who do not yet have their SAT scores should contact the Admissions Office regarding possible non-degree study options.
